The Ohio Valley Art League (OVAL) Board of Directors announces the resignation of Jule McClellan, the organization’s Executive Director/Curator for the past twenty five years. Ms. McClellan informed the OVAL Board that she has purchased a home and is moving to Lexington, Kentucky near her family. An effective date will be determined at a later time in 2017.
“Jule has amazingly served this visual arts organization for twenty five years in this capacity and always with a spirited vision to create art opportunities, in-school art programs and various community projects that will continue to thrive and live for future generations of Hendersonians to enjoy. We regrettably accept her resignation, yet we do so with much thankfulness and gratitude for all that she has tirelessly given to the mission of this organization. Our best to her, always, as she begins a new chapter in her life!”, said Marcia Baker, President of the OVAL Board of Directors.
The Ohio Valley Art League was formed under Ms. McClellan’s leadership and nine other women in September 1991 as a non-profit organization to promote the visual arts in Henderson, Kentucky and the tri-state area. The mission of this organization is educate and enrich the lives of children and adults by providing quality visual arts programs and exhibits.
